Solid State Circuit Society

With over 9,000 members around the world, the Solid-State Circuits Society focuses on fabricated integrated circuit designs for all applications using relevant materials and interconnections. In addition to scientific, technical and industrial applications, the Society’s members are involved the design, testing, and application of circuits and subsystems, as well as closely related topics in device technology and circuit theory. The Society produces the Journal of Solid-State Circuits (JSSC), and sponsors the International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC), the world’s premier circuits realization conference.

Our Aim & Objectives

VLSI is one of those industries which have been booming rapidly since the beginning of the decade. The demand for portable, small and high performance systems has lead to extensive research in this field. The student chapter of College of Engineering, Chengannur aims primarily at students who are aspiring a career in nanoscale electronics.

The objectives are:

(i) To conduct various workshops which help the participants to familiarize with different tools and software which will come in handy at the industrial level.

(ii) To organize seminars and talks regarding new and emerging technologies to keep the patrons technically updated.

(iii) To invite dignified professionals and professors from various institutions so that the patrons can learn from their experience.

The chapter currently has 24 members.
