Solid state circuits society chapter members of College of Engineering Chengannur conducted a SPICE Workshop series for B.Tech students on 1st April 2016 and 8th April 2016. There were 65 participants present and SSCS members from 2nd year M.Tech VLSI and Embedded systems were there to help the participants.

Mrs Deepa Susan, Assistant Professor in Dept of Electronics Engineering gave a brief idea about spice and introduced the speaker, Nithin Thomas Abraham, 2nd-year M.tech student. 2nd-year B.Tech  students from Dept of Electronics(S4B) were the participants on the first day. First, he provided the basics of circuit simulation and its tools. Then a hands-on session was there on P-SPICE. He taught about simulation of basic circuits like low pass and high pass filter using both drawing techniques as well as coding method. Miss. Vandana K, SSCS member from 2nd-year M.Tech VLSI and ES delivered the welcome speech and introduction to spice on the 2nd day of the workshop series(8th April 2016). B.Tech ECE students of S4A was there as the participants. The hands-on session was handled by Mr Nithin Thomas Abraham itself. The session ended with vote of thanks by class representative and the feedback shows that students got the basic idea of the circuit simulation and SPICE tool.
